BOOM OF EN PLEIN AIR TOURISTS FOR THE FIRST SPRING LONG WEEKENDS

Also this year spring long weekends have seen a boom of en plein air tourists visiting the beauties of our peninsula. APC estimates say that over half a million travellers – approximately 350,000 from Italy and 150,000 from abroad – chose the motorhome solution in these periods, mainly going for secluded villages and lesser known museums, representing a valuable part of Italian peerless cultural heritage. “Figures talk for themselves: more and more people resort to motorhomes to discover our Country and to go on holiday – remarks APC new President Simone Niccolai – almost 8 million tourists, both Italians and foreigners, visited Italy last year by motorhome and caravan and figures for the first months of 2017 have shown an upward trend”.
