APC’s 2016 CALLS AND A SNEAK PREVIEWS OF THE 2017 CALLS

Another successful year for APC’s Calls. This year, “I Comuni del Turismo in Libertà” reached its fifteenth edition and over 100 local authorities sent their proposals. The winning municipalities were awarded with a total amount of 80,000 Euros.

The other APC’s Call “Ricettività del Turismo in Libertà” aimed at the private sector also made the headlines. APC first introduced the award in 2015 and such was its success that it was repeated also this year. The APC prize of 10,000 Euros was awarded for an effluent discharge system for motorhomes.

Interesting news awaits us in 2017. The Call “I Comuni del Turismo in Libertà” provides a unique opportunity dedicated to municipalities hit by the 2016 quake which devastated much of Central Italy. APC’s prize for this new category is 30,000 Euros: any municipality officially recognized as affected by the earthquake can present projects for a multipurpose stopping area, to be used initially by Italy’s Civil Protection corps and later converted to help the recovery of the local economy.
